Emergency
Assistance 1 (ARC 3072-1)
Emergency Assistance 1 is a Basic Disaster
course that enables participants to meet the emergency needs of families on an individual
basis following a disaster in a chapter setting. This course is designed to help develop
interviewing skills, knowledge, attitudes and relationships necessary to meet the
disaster-caused needs of individuals and families.
PREREQUISITE: Introduction to Disaster Services
(ARC 3066)
Training Objectives
- Explain and give Red Cross emergency disaster assistance to victims.
- Use the basic forms needed to assist victims.
- Give victims information about other resources.
- Use the helping process in interviewing victims.
